New KDJC-approved Required Certification Program

Due to the current inability of many of the AJJF Dan ranks to stay with anyone with more than 6 months of groundwork training, you can now get certified as a KDJC-certified groundwork technician. The course requires 6 weekends of intense groundwork training that is only available at the Kuroinukan/ Duluth Judo Club. These weekends will be held routinely during the dead of winter at the coldest dojo in the US. The cost is only $5000.00 which does not include travel, lodging or meals. The required course book, "Groundwork Principles I", by Ward Melenich is available for purchase for $129.95. The supplemental, "Anti-Chaos Theory of Groundwork" is on sale for $59.95.

As a replacement for the unattainable ORM massage course, this course will fulfill the Godan requirement for certification in something.

Bring your own tape, braces and first aid supplies because you will get injured (this is not a massage course).

Continuing education in groundwork (minimum of 12 hours of courses per year spent at the Kuroinukan) will maintain your certification each calendar year. Failure to maintain your continuing education will result in termination of all of your certifications.

Advanced training and instructor courses will begin in 2008. The training certification program will require 8 weekends at the Kuroinukan/ Duluth Judo Club and only cost $8000.00 and 2 quarts of blood.

Apply now for your spot on the tatami- space is limited. Send you FULL registration ($5000.00) to the address on the Homepage.
